Bromley's Soulstice Win Trinity Laban Battle of the Bands 2025

We hosted our annual Battle of the Bands on Friday night, a showcase of the best young muscial talent South East London has to offer.

Seven brilliant bands took to the stage, each bringing their own unique sound to a packed house at Blackheath Halls. The standard was incredibly high, and it was truly inspiring to witness the dedication and musical skill on display.

After an evening of outstanding performances, Soulstice, representing Langley Park School for Boys Sixth Form in Bromley, were named this year’s winners. Their confident stage presence left a lasting impression on our expert judging panel: Joe Townsend, Yolanda Charles, and Ulrika Bergelind. Soulstice will receive coaching and a professional recording session at Trinity Laban to help them develop and promote their music further.

Abdication Shortage, from Deptford Green School, were awarded runner-up. We were also honoured to welcome young musicians from Lewisham Music, Prendergast School, School 21, Sedgehill Academy, Charter North Dulwich, and the BRIT School.

At Trinity Laban, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of artists. Events such as Battle of the Bands provide a vital platform for young performers to develop, collaborate, and share their work with new audiences. The talent we witnessed on Friday is a powerful reminder of the creative spirit that thrives within our local communities.
